A selection of images taken in Santiago de Chile's Arturo Merino Benítez airport during the XV Feria Internacional del Aire y el Espacio (15th Air and Space Fair), which Chile intented to mark its Bicentennial while the show celebrated its 30th anniversary. But the earthquake that hit Central Chile on 27 February 2010 changed all that and turned the fair into "Solidarity FIDAE". Not vainly, a few days before the opening ceremony, organizers and exhibitors mixed-up with logistics experts dealing with the air bridge flying national and humanitarian aid to the hardest hit locations. Besides the usual pack of local and foreign regulars, FIDAE 2010 hosts two USAF's F-22 Raptor performing the type's first exhibition in Latin America, FACH's KC-135, Boeing 767, Bell 412 and Embraer Super Tucano dayviewing at the fair, FAdeA's first international presentation following Argentine re-acquisition of the Córdoba aircraft factory, and  the Eurofighter Typhoon and Eurocopter EC-635 debut at the show, albeit apparently only in a full-scale mock-up form armed with an impressive array of rocket launchers, missiles and smart weapons (photos by Carlos Ay).
