In the 29 through 30 August 1987, now defunct Don Torcuato international airport (Buenos Aires) hosted an air show to celebrate the Argentine Civil Aviation Day. In spite of its "civilian" tag, the show featured an interesting array of military aircraft displayed by the Air Force (IA-58A Pucará and Sikorsky S-61R), Naval Aviation (EMB-326GB Xavante and T-34C Turbo Mentor), Army Aviation (AS-332 Super Puma and UH-1H Huey) and the Border Guard (Cessna 206, Hughes 369D y PA-18 Super Cub). Also visible were several aircraft with military genes or background, such as a collector's FW-44J Stieglitz and PT-17 Kaydet (photos by Carlos Ay). |
